New to 450SLC Ownership

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and the club, but having just bought a 450SLC that I'd like to bring up to scratch, I'm hoping the well-informed out there might be able to help? My first queries are:
1. How do you get the rear quarter privacy blinds out for cleaning? Is it a major hassle or within the capabilities of a DIY-er?
2. Where do you start to sort out a non-working central locking system? The vacuum line doesn't seem to work the doors, boot, petrol flap or seat backs at the moment.
The car itself is a Feb '82 (must have been hanging around the showroom prior to registration methinks?), with 81k miles (genuine as I've got all the MOT's) in silver with a nice blue leather interior. No a/c (probably a good thing), and otherwise standard apart from a Lorinser steering wheel. Lots of rot repairs appear to have been well executed at a cost of >£4k, but the boot is still leaking! And yes I know most seem to suffer that.
It does run and ride well so I'm going to give it some TLC.

The car may be too old for my system vut I will check , they do come out 149 in the link
