A Class
I just purchased an a class executive on a 21 plate, just wondering whether it has ambient lighting etc? Any other hidden features I should be aware of? Previous to this I was driving a golf, I’m not sure how I feel about this car as yet, but any handy tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello and welcome,

I know on premium plus it has the 64 colour ambient lighting, not sure on the exec spec (although I expect it has at least some ambient lighting)

Petrol or diesel BTW?

Thankyou, diesel blobcat, should have said in the description. I was going to go for the premium plus, but wanted it in white, and the market is scarce at the moment due to the chip issue.

Ahh thanks, I think sausage? Personally the ride in the golf was more nicer, you wouldn’t feel it when you went over a bump etc, in the a class, you can feel every little bump, very annoying lol.

That is the large alloys you have, the smaller the sidewall the worse the ride :(

That's the smaller factor , the main physics at play here is unsprung mass .

I see, is there anyway of rectifying it? I am considering selling it to go to the dark side, maybe bmw, Audi, golf?

I’ve no idea what an unsprung mass is Gaz would?

:) I've had the "usual suspects" and would not chose a BMW, Audi or VW over a Mercedes. But then I do not know your reasons for buying it or what it is that makes you chose a car over another one. Perhaps a BMW/Audi/VW is a better option. It would not be for me.

The easiest way to rectify the bumpy ride would be to change your wheels for a smaller size and have tyres that have a larger 'profile', or in layman's terms thicker tyres :) Lots and lots and lots of people prefer the look of larger wheels, and like to change smaller wheels for larger ones. So if you did decide to change yours for smaller wheels, then I am confident you would find a lot of people willing to swap with you. (Not me, I already have the stupid bumpy big wheels) :) Good luck.

BMW will be even worse and I wasn’t impressed by the ride in an Audi A1 I drove once. Check your tyre pressures are correct. The ride will be harsh if they are too high.

Smaller wheels , same size lightweight wheels or stronger dampers assuming you don't have run flat tyres .

Hello Beela and warm welcome, id chose standard wheels and tyres all day long, yes large wheels and low profile look great, but for comfort and longevity its a no, plus if you hit any kerb there is more chance of tyre popping as side wall not strong enough, but plenty of drivers love bigger wheels and low profiles and that is there choice which is fair enough

Hi Paul,

I purchased the vehicle like this, I had no input as to what it looked like when it was made, I did however like the look of it as it more sportier looking than your normal a class.

Someone did tell me that they should be

245 35 19 not 235?
