Hello,

Just bought a '94 C180, are there many on here with cars that old or is the forum more aimed toward newer models ?

If i'm in the right place, pleased to virtually meet you all.

If not, could someone point me to somewhere more particular to older models.

Thanks in advance.

CSW.

Welcome to the mad house :)

Can you make a signature, and put your car details and your location etc. If you ask a question it makes it so much easier for others to offer advice

Hi welcome to the forum, don’t worry about a 94 model being old ,those in the know about Mercedes know that the 90s were the last of the best years of production where you still got a vehicle that felt like a bullet proof friend that would never let you down. Like a Terminator on wheels .Hope your happy with it and I am sure if you do have any problems you will find good cost effective solutions on this forum. One thing I will say about an older model is to keep it away from main dealers for servicing and repairs (its way to expensive and not cost effective on an older car)and find yourself a good independent expert .Ask on the forum for pointers in that direction relative to where you are.

Thank you all for being so welcoming.

Knowing my luck with cars I may be asking plenty of questions. :( :)

Thanks again.

Well first thing is I need to do is some work on the bodywork and paint (Wheel arch rust, scuff on colour coded bumper and a laquer issue on the roof), perhaps I should post more specific questions regarding this work on the tech section of the forum ?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm new too having bought my first merc a few weeks ago and everyone on the forum has been really friendly so far. They even offered to let me buy the drinks when we meet up in a few weeks time (13th September). I mean how kind is that?!?!? :):):)

I've spent hours searching the forum for answers to questions and I've come to the conclusion that there's nothing these guys don't know. Am sure will catch them out one day!
