New to the forum

Morning all,
Just thought I would say hi to all upon joining this forum. I have just put myself down the deposit on a 2016/2017 (66 plate) MB C200 SE Executive in that lovely blue colour, hopefully pick the car up in the next week.
I know I will get a ton of bricks come down upon my head when I say I bought it with a manual transmission but it came in at a good price, I know they are not as sought after as the automatics but I plan on holding onto it for a good few years to come.
Anyhow I guess I will be posting a few threads on here and hopefully get some good feedback from the questions. Maybe soon I can start to answer dome of them for people.

Welcome.
I had a manual C220 CDI, I had a manual E46 M3.
I was very happy with the manual C220 and felt it gave me a nice amount of control through corners and gears vs an autobox.

The E46 - at the time everyone, and I mean everyone, EVERYONE said get the SMG auto box. I wanted manual. Now, no one seems to say get the SMG auto M3.

Other people are not always right, not even when they all say the same thing

Go with what suits you best.

I've had a few manual Mercedes in my time too, a 280se, 250 compact and a 240 diesel. Two of the cars were race prepared track cars the diesel....well that was a mistake but still made money on that one
