Looks ooooookaaaaayyyyyy it would possibly only suit certain cars in my opinion. I wouldn't do one on my C207 for instance. But I know a man who might @SmartAmg if it was red :D

You can get very good 5mm stainless mesh. I've made guards for the 3 radiator intakes on the Porsche and for the oil cooler on the bike from a large sheet I bought.

Blobcat thanks i am on the lookout for a sheet . Is it easy to work with .Looks like it will need bending to form the box type section needed to go inside the outer radiator frame.

Get some decent shears and it cuts pretty easily. It is sharp on the edges though and cuts through skin very easily...
I used a mallet and a couple of blocks of wood to form it. I’ve also taped edges and held the small corners together with cable ties as it can come apart on the edges.

Nice job you have made of it . But a bit more bending and shaping for the W123 or W124 gtills .
Sand bag and a soft mallet. The 3 openings in the bottom of the Porsche bumper have multiple curves and are an interesting shape. I just cut out a bit bigger than I needed and worked it until I was happy with the shape.
The BM oil cooler guard took no time at all. Found a bit of 6”x3” and hammered it around it. :)

This is going to be interesting lol. I dont have any material yet .And the car is away in to storage [under covers ] soon Lookin like a project for next year .What i will do is , pick up a front stainless steel grille outer part and use that to form the shape .Dont want to damage the original .
