hello wise people
thought i got a bargain 4x 16" s class wheels for £20 with 235 bald tyres on them but the tyres hit front shocks on my w124, even with 5mm spacers on

"help"

I wont to put new tyres on them but i need to know they will fit:-

original wheels and tyres 6.5J 15H2 ET49 with 195 60 15s

new wheels and tyres 7.5J 16H2 ET51 with 215 55 16s

if i dont make good with these my missus will be right and i can't have that

the problem is the ET.

The wheel size is OK, but unfortunately no good, because you need wheels with an ET of the order of 37.

Taker advice first, then buy.

Hi

Get rid of the wheels! You will need 15mm spacers for these to fit back to where the original wheels were. Accept defeat graciously.

PS 15mm spacers will strain the (new bolts, if you can get them long enough) bolts and bearings. The effect on the bearings is twice that of the spacer width.

How's this - Mr Topscalcookie could put a round flat top on a wheel and use them as coffee tables, OR............... (suggestions?)
