E class convertible
Hi, I’m newly signed up,
I don’t own a merc as yet, but I am looking at getting an e class coupe or convertible (2010-2013) for my wife. Or even a c class coupe. anything I should look out for? I know nowt about cars at her than there is a hole on one side for motion lotion and 3 pedals to make it go forwards and backwards.
many advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Paul

She won’t be doing much mileage, it’ll be more of a second car for us both, she currently has a z4 so looking for an upgrade to a 4 seater

I only ask the petrol/diesel question because if it’s a 2 mile each way commute with a diesel with a dpf you are going to have problems .

I know I'm going to regret this, but I have an E class coupe with a 3l diesel. I only do short trips with the occasional long journey and haven't had any DPF issues - but it seems others have???

Welcome by the way :)

I have a jag xf sportbrake A’s my daily drive and only do 2-3 miles a day with the occasional longer distance. So know about the pitfalls or not of short journeys with a diesel. Had no issues myself either.
Just asking what to look out for in terms of known issues to look for when considering one. wife will do same miles, we just want a 4 seater
