Newbie buying s320 HELP!!!!!

Hi all, had older mercs before but now looking at a 98 S320, anyone know of any problems with these and what should i look out for when checking the car, i have read up on a few forums but most seem to be US not UK, i know that pre 96 cars had a few problems, have these been sorted on the later cars, any help much appreciated

the US problems are the same as UK probs - air con, door closers, electronics etc.

98 is way past the dodgy engine loom and blowing evaporator problems.

alarms can play up it seems.

check tyre wear - tracking is expensive (4 wheel alignment not 'tracking' - several hours work) called a 'geo-check'.

otherwise cool cars. (I have a non-problematic post 96 coupe)
