Hi All

I joined this forum to get info about buying the right car, and I had some helpful advice.

I have now realized that an SL320 is not for me as I want to be able to put a child seat in the back and the seats only have lap belts. Not ideal.

So I have started to look at CLK 320's, can anyone give any good advice of what to look for pro's & con's that I may need to be aware of.

Budget around 10K what sort of age can I expect to get.

Many thanks Rob.

I have a late 04 CLK 320 - great car and would recommend to anyone - but perhaps not the ideal vehicle to fit a child seat. Only 2 seats in the back - plenty of legroom but remembering the days when I used child seats I would go for a 4 door. It has diagonal belts.
Values - large engine petrol not popular at the moment so should be able to get 2004 if you look hard.

Suggest search under 'Valeo Radiator Problem', which affected CLK production pre Sept 03, maybe a bit later than that as stock got sold. A big problem, not just a little nuisance.
Our 54 plate seems bomb proof, built like a tank and superb fuel economy on the 270 diesel.

Thanks for your comments. This will be a weekend car as I already have other cars for the family. So the car seat would be occasional so probably ok.

I just want a convertible.

Thanks Rob.
