I'm (hopefully) soon to be getting a Merc after being a VEEDUB nut for the last 10 years owning some nice show cars in that time.
Anyway, I'm looking to get a Merc C Class Coupe, Manual, Petrol, Black, with perhaps a 2.0l engine (or maybe a 1.8l) and would quite like leather interior. I'm after something on about a 2004 year.
Can anyone tell me more about these cars or where I can find some extremely useful links?
I like the look of the later type (I think) where the front grill has holes in the aluminium rather than just smooth - would this be some kind of facelift model and if so, what month and year it started from?
Sorry to be a bit vague but haven't got one yet so aren't at all up on any Merc knowledge. Ask me anything dub-related and I'll be able to help!
Also, how hard would a Merc with the above spec be to find and what is the rough going rate? I've seen them for around £7.5k-£8.5k but the sellers all seem a little dodgey (the ones I've encountered) as they seem to want to meet me somewhere rather than going to their house (where you would expect it to be:???:) to view it.
Are they all Kompressor models? What is the difference between a C160, C180, C200, etc etc? How about SE models, Sport models, etc, etc?
As much info as possible would be greatly appreciated and hope to soon be part of the Merc family.
