I'm (hopefully) soon to be getting a Merc after being a VEEDUB nut for the last 10 years owning some nice show cars in that time.
Anyway, I'm looking to get a Merc C Class Coupe, Manual, Petrol, Black, with perhaps a 2.0l engine (or maybe a 1.8l) and would quite like leather interior. I'm after something on about a 2004 year.
Can anyone tell me more about these cars or where I can find some extremely useful links?
I like the look of the later type (I think) where the front grill has holes in the aluminium rather than just smooth - would this be some kind of facelift model and if so, what month and year it started from? Comparison pics below:
Sorry to be a bit vague but haven't got one yet so aren't at all up on any Merc knowledge. Ask me anything dub-related and I'll be able to help!
Also, how hard would a Merc with the above spec be to find and what is the rough going rate? I've seen them for around £7.5k-£8.5k but the sellers all seem a little dodgey (the ones I've encountered) as they seem to want to meet me somewhere rather than going to their house (where you would expect it to be:???:) to view it.
Are they all Kompressor models? What is the difference between a C160, C180, C200, etc etc? How about SE models, Sport models, Evo models, etc, etc?
As much info as possible would be greatly appreciated and hope to soon be part of the Merc family.
