Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum so be gentle.

I have just brought an A160 Aventgarde on an early T plate 3/99). I pick it up next Saturday. It is the clutchless model. Now a couple of questions.

I couldn't find any Air Con on the car. Someone said I may need to pull one of the heater switches. Any opinions?

It also doesn't have a spare. Is this a standard fitting or a space saver type wheel? and where is the best place to get one?

It also has 2 small keys (like imobiliser fobs) 1 red and 1 black. What are these for?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi & Welcome,
If you have A/C you will most likely have an 'EC' button on the heater control to switch the AC off. A/C was an option on the 'A's so you may not have it.
My fathers A160 had a space saver spare if I remember correctly. If you do not have one a breakers yard maybe the cheapest option.
The 'A' class has a folding key which has the remote functions, the red one I beleive is the master (do not lose it) however pls read the drivers handbook as that is alsmost essential with a Mercedes.
