Hi all - new joiner here - stumbled upon this rather good looking forum whilst trying to find out how to replace the rear passenger seating wind breaker on a 2014 E220 convertible...

Despite trying to find the process on Google - 99% of results seem to refer to the windscreen aircap device, I cannot figure out how to replace the mesh screen - might anyone know or maybe even be aware of a guide somewhere as the default manual deffo doesnt mention this?

The mesh screen is Mercedes part a2078600200 and looks like the below for reference.

Any sugestions folks? Much appreciated in advance if anyone can help this idiot!

This might help others, but I found the method in a Mercedes guide online.... undoi 2 nuts and pull the deflector out! Simple! Better to be safe than sorry though!

Great place to read and download all sorts of Merc related manuals etc.

2010 A207 E500 (the Summer Car and Winter Garage Queen)!
On mine (2010 model) to get the deflector out, open roof, raise the headrests (button on dash or plug in a rear seat belt), release the two side securing points by agitating (pushing deflector centrally to 'bend' it slightly) and then lift out the deflector.

Cheers Harry - exactly the method I used in the end!
