Just bought a well used C220 CDi, and i guess original radio cd player. Cant believe Mercedes fit these to their cars, worth about £15.
Anyways I want to fit my mp3 cd player with usb reader of course, and know i need a iso adapter to make it fit the console, however, how do you get the bit of wood stuff off with the air con controls and radio etc already on? Tried pulling it and shoving it twisting it and turning it, and cant even find out how its all stuck together. I'm guessing its real easy once you know how.
Anyone, please.

Not sure what car is in this link but the 5th picture down should help. Not sure you really need to take all that off to fit what you mention.

that looks like an earlier model than mine, that looks more like my C180 from 1988. New car has a similar set up though, with the fascia. Might try that if no one else has better ideas.
thank you

I did find a link on one of the forums (this one or mbworld) that did a step by step description with photos of how to get into these radios. You start by taking the gear lever gaitor off I believe and then you can take of the trim panel all the way up to the air vents.

I printed it out, but it's at home I think so I will try to remember to find the link tonight.
