Newbie wanting some help please

:razz: Hi, have just put a deposit on a 2001 C240 Elegance (sooooo excited), but read somewhwere that Mercedes use Bose sound systems. Is this true, if not, can someone enlighten me as to what sound systems they do use? Many thanks.

I have a 2002 C240 Elegance SE and it has Bose sound system. Lovely!

On most cars, the Bose system was offered as an extra, in some cases it just the loudspeakers that are upgraded, on others it includes an amp and subwoofer.

Once you have the VIN No. use the attached Russian site http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/index.html?lng=eng this will list out the original specification. If bose was part of the spec it should be listed.
