Newbie with a question

Hi All

I'm new to this forum, ive just got my first Mercedes a CLK 200k 2004, changed from BMW.... after years of them

i just noticed that the speedometer is in mph but the digital display in in kph and the odometer is in kph as well is this normal or has something being changed...i didn't even notice this when i got it first.......

yes its a bit confusing..... I noticed that when I got mine in September... not sure if you can change it.... but now I'm used to it its fine

Is it your first CLK ? mines a SLK 200 FAB .... I love mine

I believe that there is an option to change it, but I don't know how.
I'm sure that a more knowledgeable person will be along soon.

Have a scroll through the cluster menus, probably a setting inthere.

I know in my 211 it's in the cluster menu i think in the first menu in the list. I find it ever so useful when i'm on the continent.

Um on the R230 there is no facility to change the digital display - it's in kph on the left and that's it, apparently. You can bring up an MPH digital display in the right hand side display, but that blocks out everythin else, so is only temporary I think.

Oh well a minor niggle really. I'm lucky I haven't got anything else to moan about.

I think this was answered elsewhere, but IIRC there's a (legal?) requirement to display the speed in kph as well as mph, and as the 'dial' only shows one set of numbers (most cars have both sets), then the digital display shows the kph - for the odometer, as said above - you can change that on the cluster menu.

The legal requirement is the ability to display kph. If it is selectable, then it's compliant

Hi all and thanks a mil for the replies, that's great thanks for your help, no its not that it bothered me at all its just i wasn't sure if this was the correct way or if something had happened to the dash. Hi Sue yes its my first Mercedes and loving every minute of it so far...i will post pictures of it there are some little things i just get get done a new set of wheels any recommendations would be great, and i'm looking to get a new audio system looking at 1 or 2 will either a 1 din or 2 din fit into the CLK or is there i particular one i need?
