Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum. Tomorrow I collect an '04 E320 CDi estate.

The stable will be:
E320 CDi Estate 2004
SLK 230 1999
BMW M3 Evo 1997 (track toy)
BMW M3 Cab 1991 (retirement fund)

We've had a Merc in the family for a few years - the Mrs' SLK, which has been an outstanding car for the 5 or so years we've had it.

I've been a BMW man for years, but I felt like a change. I sold my '98 540 Touring as it was passed its' use-by date.

I found this particular E320, it was over budget but the colour and spec sucked me in. It was a demo car which probably explains the spec.

It is:
Avantgarde with,
Black with AMG 18's, set of 17's for winter
Front/rear pdc
Airmatic suspension
L&R Memory seats
Comand Nav with DVD/TV
Heated front & rear seats
Cooled front seats
4 zone climate
Merc tow pack
Tints from B pillar back
Wood trim wheel
Zenons
Powered tailgate

In someways it is drug dealer spec, but at least it isn't too 'old-man' - no offence intended.

My other cars have been:
1988 M3
1994 730i
1996 M3 Evo Saloon
!996 M3 Evo (ebay mistake...)
1992 Subaru Legacy RS Turbo (chipped with 3" exhaust)
1978 528i
1985 Toyota Corolla Gti
1979 Mini 1275GT
1990 Honda CRX Si
1991 Honda Civic Vtec
1963 Landrover SIIa SWB with (mitsubishi diesel & 5spd)
Not so interesting -
1985 metro
1985 Peugeot 305
Suzuki SJ410

The merc should be a fun practical addition, which I am very much looking forward to.

Welcome & congrats on the new toy. It will feel a bit sluggish in comparison from the 540i but give double the gas milliage. I used to have a couple of BM's and since having the merc not looked back.

You've got an excellent spec there :D

Hi

I have just taken delivery of my E320 and it is all the car you'll ever need - fast, luxurious, comfortable, spacious and elegant looking. I was always an Audi man before I made the switch to Mercs and you will not regret it!

Btw your spec is amazing - I tried to get a similar spec with cooled memory seats and after weeks of tracking on MB Direct could not get close. Mind you, even the base Avantgarde spec is pretty damn good.

Enjoy!

There are very very few E's out there with cooled seats :-( If they had been on my "Must have" list I would be still looking or would have had to buy a new one.
Audi's are nice enough however there is nothing like an E (except another one) or int he words of the Shaman E's a re good :p

That is a great spec you have there. It is rare to find a diesel (bought to save money) loaded with depreciating options. Mind you, ours that we rejected had all that kit too. Vented seats are great - I love em!
