Hello everyone.
I have a 3 month old C220cdi, and really struggled with traction today in the snow, tried turning the ESP off using auto box manually etc but all to no avail.
With the wide tyres and auto box its not the ideal car to use. My problem is that finally after returning from work (normally 30mins today 4hrs) i have noticed my rear wheels have red fluid on them accompanied with a few dash errors ESR ABS etc is this a problem that will need urgent attention, does anybody have any idea whats gone wrong.:(
Many Thanks.

Red fluid on the rear wheels ..doubt if it is gearbox fluid, you havent ran over anyone on the way home..... would be more liable to be brake fluid as the abs would have been working overtime..
I must say that rear wheel drive on normal tyres are generally useless in the snow and frost.. It is worth having a couple of winter M+S tyres fitted or even kept on spare rims for weather like this ..They will make a big difference to your grip and traction.. Even cheap M+S tyres will suffice..

I agree with Xtractorfan, I dnt think it will be ATF. its possibly brake fuild and maybe go to local indie to get it looked at on the ramp

Do not go to MB as they might change things and charge you for them.

I dont have any leaks or warning lights but my 05 plate c220cdi estate is the worst car i have ever driven in the snow, the traction control is pointless if it wont even allow the engine to rev!!, I love MB's but im seriously considering selling now, i had a 5.7l auto camaro with no TC that was easier to drive in poor conditions, very dissapointed
