Hello All,
First time poster here.
Afer years of running various company cars from Vauxhal Vivas, through Fords, Vauxhalls, and laterly a 3 Series BMW, I've now progressed to an imminent receipt of a MB 180 Kompressor Avantgarde Estate Auto.
Its an August 07 reg, and current brochures/internet info only refer to the current model.
Although I will get handbooks etc, when I get the car in a couple of weeks, I'd like to get some details on the car beforehand so that I know what all the switches, buttons, bells and whistles do and mean beforehand.
Any thoughts on how to get hold of such info will be most welcome.
Incidentally I looked around at various manufacturers, and models before plumping for the Mercedes, such as new Mondeo, Octavia, Accord, Civic, even Prius and Honda Hybrid.
I also looked at smaller MPV's such as C-Max and Citroens.
I didn't look too closely at Beamers, Volvos or Saabs.
Hope I've made the right decision
Any comments guys (?), although I won't waste your time by going through my entire thought process before comming to my final decision.
Look forward to being memeber of you community.

Well done on your purchase.

The best thing you can do its read the manual. Everything you need to know is in there.

And welcome.

Hi there, it must be an exiting time for you!
Why not go to the original supplying dealer (if you can find out who it was), speak nicely to the sales staff and see if you can enjoy a cup of coffee whilst very carefully perusing a book from a used car on the forecourt (I think you mean the old model, not a new car)?
I once had a C Class on order and in advance the dealer lent me a shiny black E Class for my daughter's wedding. Cost - a 'nest' of creme eggs - it was also Easter then.

Thanks,
I'm getting it from the main dealer in Cardiff, (ex-demo with 6k on the clock) and the car is locked away awaiting my collection in a couple of weeks time. (I need to buy it in the next tax year)
A mental abberation on my part in my original post, - the car is a September 2007 (57) not August (07) model.
It's the old style, not the current one.
I dare say if I pop into the dealer, they'll let me have the manual in advance, just wondered if there is any info on the internet I could browse as well.
Would welcome any tips on things to look out for - I know no car is ever going to be perfect!
Thanks for your advice, look forward to further contact.

2005 C270CDi Avantgarde Estate. Bought 2005, sold 2022.
Interactive owner's manuals are available here.

That's the new one (W204) though. They've only just taken the previous W203 Estate down though - it was there last time I looked.

Thanks Rory / Geezer,
That's just what I was looking for, - anyone know how to locate an interactive brochure for the previous (W203?) model?
