What is the general consensus as to your next annual service. I would doubt very much that mine would have done much more than 2,000 when the next service becomes due. Seems a little pointless giving it a service after so few miles, maybe just a service re-set is the answer ?

Mine had done 4700 in the year to November but I got it done. Some things are time related, such as brake fluid change and yours should be due 2021 on a 2017 car. You would also lose the full service history and Mobilo if that is important to you.

You trade in fairly regularly don’t you Andy ? Because of this , if you aren’t worried about Mobilio , you could consider just an oil and filter change so that there a record of a “service “ .

My car up to last Feb 2020 has a full MB Service History but I decided back then it would be the last time it would go to a dealership, I have been changing the oil every Aug between services as I did last Aug and it's done less than 1k miles since then but I plan to carry out the service schedule works as listed next Month, for what it costs, I like the peace of mind in knowing everything's been changed that needs changing, It will also provide the opportunity to give it the once over everywhere else.

I took the 20% off service plan about 4 months ago. Both cars are due a B service next time, & the E class is also due an auto box oil change as well. So I have little option but to go with the service schedule.
I would imagine those who do their own servicing will wait a little longer before servicing their cars?

I have done 541 miles since Mid Sept.
At this rate I'll have done just over 1600 miles between services.
I'm also on a service plan, but I'd still have had it serviced as normal whatever mileage covered.
I want to keep a full and correct service history.

I’m on biannual servicing now with the S212 it only covers <3000pa (even less under C19 restrictions). This ties in nicely with the BMW franchise regime of every 2 years, can’t see the point of over servicing when you do low miles unless you do a lot of short runs fully synthetic modern oils are so good. I’d be looking at a B service every 6000 miles otherwise...

Daylight robbery IMO, then the additional £72 rip off (which is most likely not even required) to insult you even more.

A workmate has an E something or other diesel estate which is due a B something or other service. I think the car is around 4 years old and he told me today that Mercedes want £800 odd for the service. Needless to say he is taking it to an independant.

A friend of mine bought a new E230 back in '93 and I seem to remember that he said the first service on that car was something like £1,500 !!
