No Main Beam on my E55

I cannot get main beam on my 1998 E55. I can flash the headlights but when I push the stalk forwards for main beam nothing happens. I have had a auto electrics guy look at it and he replaced the stalk switch but to no avail. My local MB specialist has suggested that it may do the dash switch. Anybody got any suggestions?

I would have a look at the multiplugs first,,make sure all the connections are making contact...Nine times out of ten it is the stalk that's the problem....

Thanks for the info Nicky. I assume you mean the multiplug that connects the stalk switch into the main loom?
