Why not get the nice holders from MB, sometimes free, then you do not need to have a screw

Hi,

I bought a nice pair of AMG Brabus plate surrounds, they fix to your original screw holes and the plates slip in look very cool.

Danny - I was looking for the same - "standard" (halfords etc) yellow/black caps don't fit the chunky merc screws and "standard" plastic yellow screws are the wrong thread for the merc (can't remember if they were too big or to small - the possibility of poping them in a lathe and re-threading crosses my mind).

P.S. You're not the only anal one around here - I'm also looking for the little plastic button that releases the emergency key blade on the electroinic keys (for my spare key!!!)
