no power steering

i have a 58plate clc200 was told its the pump fitted new pump still no power steering then told its the steering rack had a new one fitted and still no power steering any help please

Ger rid of mechanic who is advising these costly options.

Find a mechanic with diagnostics, and have the codes read as a start.

Check steering linkage, control arms etc . If ball joints are rusty they wont turn very easy
