No Power under hard acceleration

Hi all have a C200 20 litre on q 96 classic drives great except when i accelerate hard, kicks down ok but no power, no misfire any ideas regards john plamer

It is possible that there is a fault with the air flow meter. Using a multi meter you can probe the AFM sensor wire to see what the 'live' readings are. Watching the multimeter hit the throttle pedel hard and see what the voltage is, it should be about 3.3 to 3.5v peak. Any lower would make the engine run lean and hold back the power to the engine.
