Asking here before I go back to the dealer, incase I end up looking very stupid.

I stopped at the petrol station on the way home tonight, and the radio was playing. I locked the car using the remote. When I got back in, and started the car, there was no sound from the radio/cd/tape, no sounds from anywhere in fact !

All the functions of the audio 20 seem to be working - i can change cd, radio station, etc there just isnt any sound. Its as if the mute button has been pressed, but I have repeatedly muted/unmuted it with no joy....

anyone go any ideas ?

I presume you have tried turning the volume up!

Do you have a phone cradle? Mine did the same to me once. It seemed to think that the phone was in use (it was not). Pulling the phone out cleared it, and it has not done it since.

my radio has died too. The CD works and if I turn the volume all the way up I can hear a faint hiss but that's it. I think there may be a problem with the aerial connection but apparently it's all embedded in the lining in the roof so not easy to get to. Mines booked in to the stealers on Thursday but given the imense list of other problems, plus theB Service I have a feeling they wont get round to it this time.

Problem is my drive to the office is 75 miles and it's amazing how boring that is with out Sir Tel in the mornings.

Try disconnecting the battery for 5mins. It might reset itself.

Very commendable that you did a search and found the thread but I think you would get a better response if you started a new thread explaining you problem.

If your set up has muted, if you have a phone, remove it and try again or disconnect the battery for a few mins and power up again
