No Warm Air

Hi all,

The heater in my 2004 E320 Cdi belts out plenty of heat everywhere but into the drivers footwell. There is only a little, even when the blower is on max and the air directed downwards. There is plenty in the passenger footwell though.

Has a hose come adrift? Is it worth undoing things myself or is this a job for an Indie?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers...............Shaun.

One thing star does when you go into aac is a self test on all the motors which control the directional flaps!

Hi all, Thanks for your replies. Will have a go at removing the undertray on the drivers side tomorrow & have a look. If I can't see anything I'll whip it in to my local Indie who's got a star machine. When connected to the star, does it just tell you that the heater flaps require normalising/test the motors, or will it enable the operator to reset the flaps to the correct position as well?

Cheers.............Shaun.

It could tell you if you have a fault, but STAR does enable you to re set things

Hi to you all. Problem now sorted, local Indie reset heater with Star but made no difference. Turned out to be a wire from the parking brake pedal becoming detatched from it's clip and fouling the heater flap mechanism!

Supplying dealer fixed it free of charge too.

Thank you for all of your help.........Shaun.
