Noisy 2000 S320 blower fan (climate control)

I have a noisy fan which is getting worse- is replacing that a huge job- is it a job for inside the opassenger compartment or is the fan located in the engine bay?

no its not a huge job its about 30 mins , mounted behind the glove box
