Is there any way that you could lubricate the bearings.

for a start you could put a few drop on any part of the shaft that you can see,or run some down between the fan and the motor cage. is there a small hole in the rear end ?

This has just stated to happen on the Slk when the heater is turned up to 5 (as it has been all week with the roof down and toastie hot feet and body) it is quite a droaning noise as if something rubbing.
I checked under bonnet:eek:
and there does not seem to be access from that side....dashboard out job methinks...back to dealer again!!!!
While they are at it they can clean my doors as I cant get the grease off after the fixed my sticking door handles the other week ...streaky black trails down both doors from handles!!!

Any MB that starts with an S does have a little more to it.

Someone who understands diagnosis could work their way through it. hardest problem is to find that person.

I totally agreed
I once used to think that anyone with a laptop or handheld and have a garage can fix any car.
But I was wrong..

Definitely need to leave it to the PRO...

Some of the indies are better in that they have to try and understand whats going on or go under, not always the case, but often.
