Noisy Sat Nav CD in S Class

I have an S430 (Sep 99) with pre-DX COMAND system and front loading Sat Nav CD. The CD whirrs and makes read noises all the time even when the NAVI system is off (sounds like a CDROM reading on a PC) and even turning off the whole COMAND system off does not stop it.

Any suggestions as to how to stop this? (It's a brand new CD 2005 for UK from Tele Atlas not a pirate or CDR copy.) At present the only way to stop this is to eject the disc!

(Also, does anyone know a company in London near W1 who can install a CARK91 Nokia car kit for a Nokia 6110i in my S class, please?).
