Hi,
Recently I've noticed one (or more) tappets getting a bit noisy. Sometimes the noise goes almost immediately after starting, sometimes for quite some time. This is the usual ticking noise that varies with engine speed.
Any idea how much for a new one? I'm guessing the garage might as well do the whole side of the vee, or the entire engine.
The engine has 119K on the clock, and has been fed a strict diet of Mobil1 or Castrol RS.
Any idea of cost much appreciated.
