Nokia 6310i Multiple Phone Numbers (or not)

Does anyone know why I can only see/dial the default telephone number for people in my phone book, even when there are several entries for individuals?

The phone is a 6310i.

Despite the COMAND manual stating that multiple numbers will appear as (what is effectively) a submenu after hitting 'dial' - they don't.

As far as I know the multiple entries only applies to the COMAND's own address book and it only supports one number from the phones address book. I belive this is a limitation of the phone.
You can import the main number from the phone into the command address book but then need to add the others manually.

I have only had mine for just over a week so I could be wrong but so far this is all I have been able to do.
