Nokia E71 & Bluetooth SAP Cradle

Hi,

I have the Bluetooth SAP V2 Cradle in my car (2005/05 S-Class with Comand). The pairing worked fine with my old phone (Nokia E70). I've just got the E71 - tried pairing which worked fine - however the SIM contacts from the phone are only transferred and not from the E71's phone book.

There have been a number of posts on the Internet - some saying that only the SIM contacts can be transferred and not the phone contacts.

Had any body had similar issues or know of a fix?

Check you have set the phone to use the phone contacts (have all the contacts been copied to te phone?

Then when connected to SAP press 0000 on the COMAND and OK to download contacts to the COMAND

The phone is set to use phone contacts (not SIM).

After I enter "0000" on the COMAND unit - I get a "system error" message on the phone. The COMAND unit is able to read contacts from the SIM fine when its paired. Its when I try the phone book download via 0000 is when it fails.

I am using Nokia N98 & i got the unlock code from http://www.unlocking4u.com/.But I am having blue tooth connectivity problem. can any body tell me the procedure?

Hi

I have just had a E71 cradle to my CLS what a disaster, 4 weeks on and I still can use the speed dialing function on the keypad on the dash.

My local dealer is pulling is hair out as no body at Woking has a clue how to fix the system. It is a software problem, luckly I have not paid for the unit yet as it does not function as per the manual. Once I have a solution I will inform all

I just got a Nokia E71. As above it paired with the SAP BT Cradle but would not sync the contacts via the 0000 method.

I made sure PC Sync was set to Server 1.2 on the phone but still no joy. I then synced it with PC Suite on my desktop machine. This installed some extra PC Sync support files on the phone for contacts and calendar

When I went back to the car I was able to sync the phone book with the 0000 method.

Use PC Suite - Ovi Suite doesn't work

I had been successfully syncing my address book until I upgraded the firmware on my E71 to the latest version (300-). To do the upgrade I had to switch to the new Ovi Suite because the E71/PC Suite doesn't upgrade successfully under Windows 7. I then used Ovi Suite for sync with my PC.

After the upgrade the address book synchronisation failed until I reinstalled PC Suite and resynced my phone. After that, as amwebby says, it works! So many thanks to him for finding this out!
