PLEASE HELP! I have recently bought an S600L registered in May 2003. It is fitted with a hard wired phone which has the following markings: NOKIA QO2 RTE - SHB. SN : 6312986 CODE : 0640137. A203 820 23 35 [00]. I can not get the phone to work. I have tried 3 different SIM cards and none of them pick up the network (despite working in other phones). The phone and cradle has been checked out by my MB dealer who say that it is not faulty. The dealer seems to acknowledge that this is a problem with all older cars/phones. Does anyone know a company who can solve this problem?

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.

Try Comand.co.uk they have recently sorted out a bluetooth conversion for my carphone.

If they can't help they may be able to direct you further.

If I remember right, O2 and Vodaphone used to be one channel and various others another. Current phones have both frequencies but older ones used to work on one or the other. Which networks have you tried?

If there is nothing wrong with the cradle and the rest, you should send your Nokia phone to the Nokia care centre for a check....
