non-dipping mirror

I had set my passenger mirror to dip when reversing (E320). Then I had an accident affecting the drivers side front bumper/wing and it has now stopped dipping.I rechecked that it is still set to dip on the computer and it is. Does anyone have any ideas why its not dipping.

Probably stating "the bleedin' obvious" here, but it is set to nearside adjustment on the drivers control panel isn't it?

Just that if the repairer has reset it you may not have noticed.....

You may have to have it set on Star diagnostic.

I'm not sure what you mean (?star diagnostic). I have checked to make sure the setting on the control panel is correct. Could you clarify.

Sometimes although it shows in your control panel, one of the SAM units could need re programing, this can only be done or checked with a MB diagnostic reader (star)
