Non Starter E320

When I insert the ign key on my E320 (2000) everything lights on the dash as norm, turn key to start - nothing, dash light don't dim, new Merc battery. any suggestions please

any clicking noise or anything like that? could be a starter motor fault

itcould be a starter fault, or other things...

if you have a multimeter and a little basic electrical understanding read on. remove the largeish cover under the bonnet at the rear, passenger side - 4x screws. under here you will see lots of wiring and control modules. the module at the front will have many wires on top, one will be a large diameter purple wire, check here for 12v when trying to start the car. if no power here, check the fuses mounted in this module. then get back to us.

This will be the short circuit fan in the engine ECU,,just unplug the fan and replace the 10 amp fues

yes, sorry colin, we should point them too it! i was not sure this was the problem 100%, but could have said 'have a look here (link)' sort of thing...will probably turn out to be the starter or some other random thing!!
