Returned to my A-Class 140 after leaving it for just short of two weeks, engine wouldnt fire because battery seemed low! So I push start it, engine fires, very lumpy, all the dash lights are on (SRS, engine etc), nothing electrical works, lights are very dim and you cant accelerate! Waited for about 10 minutes, killed engine, disconnected battery, reconnected and tried to start, again, it was flat, so push started again. This time, just the SRS and brake light remained on, nothing worked, including the accelerator, but after about 1 minute, dash went normal, lights came on bright, accelerator worked ec. Killed engine, started first time!

I have noticed an electrical fault in the last month or so (just havent had time to sort it out), where the front right headlight blinks instead of the indicator (sometimes), so perhaps a wiring loom problem?

Any ideas on this one?

Again it sounds like a bad earth problem.
Thanks for that, any links or suggestions on which earth strap to look for?

The problems (lights flashing when indicating) started shortly after the gearbox/steering rack was replaced? Cars under service plus, but the hassle factor getting it to/from a garage, if its something I can check for, then would do it myself.

Just to add, the water level light keeps on coming on randomly, even though there is plenty of water in the cooling reservoir!
