Was an E300TD, now a Lexus LS400
I'd just like to say that today I drove up and down the M66, and around Manchester, and my car drove beautifully. The engine was smooth and sweet, the gearbox was imperciptible, the drive was calm and relaxing, the aircon was lovely and chilly.

Just in case any lurkers think that Mercs are always breaking :D

I drove my SL to Exeter on Thursday then on to Taunton and back home, The sun was shining, the roof was down, and the car was like a dream. :D :D

Drove my CLK55 (roof up) up the driveway and back today (needed to move it to cut the grass) - no problems to report.

Took my 00 S320 for a rip down to wicklow today, managed 29.6mpg on the round trip (32 miles) I was very surprised. No problems to report.

Driving around town yesterday I managed a massive 3 miles trip in 40 minutes @ 6mpg, no problems to report, needed the aircon though and a shell truck behind me.

Just got back from a trip from London to north Norfolk and back with wife, 2 kids, bootfull of luggage and rammed roof box.

Despite all the extra weight the performance seemed unidminshed. Overtaking was a blast.

No problems to report (unless you count the temporarily trashed interior)

Took two friends fishing the other day, 200 mile round trip.
Averaged 32mpg, left an Astra for dead at the traffic lights, caught three trout, was chased by a grey seal (in the boat , not the car  )

Only thing that spoilt it was a dead fly on the grille

Just come back from Trentham, went over to visit the Monkey Woodland at Trentham Gardens, very much worth a visit.
The best bit was the drive to and from in the ML, car is fantastic as ever, going to miss the driving next week when I'm back at work and behind the wheel of the Mondeo, but at 147000 miles she still does not miss a beat.
Having the ML on the drive makes weekends all the more enjoyable.

Been shooting this morning, enjoyed it very much, picked the wife up from work a total today of 82 miles, the ML was fantastic, felt real lively today, some one in an Hyundai Tuscon wanted to show me how quick his car was, yawn, he was just a tiny blob in the rear view mirror. Cleaned the car tonight, wash and wax with Meguirs, looks great, so overall a great day was had.

Well, taking advantage of the recent sunshine, and a friend's hubby having business in Wales, I trundled mine up the track to the allotments and over a varied assortment of builders rubble and broken fences to load up the back with crates of plants and trays of eggs. Headed off then over numerous B road potholes to the A470 and then hit the M4 for a short trip to the nearest services and an arranged meeting.

The jungle of plants and eggs all arrived at my destination unscathed, but there's still an awful lot of potting compost littering the rear... Pity the driver's hands aren't as stable and unshaking as the old car's suspension. :D

Nice drive, though - and despite all the speed-merchants flying past me when my speedo was showing them to be way over the limit. ;) I swear it was more a jungle outside the car than inside it.

had all three out this week

SL with the top down on Wednesday
C280 with ribbons on for a friend's wedding on Thursday
200TE with the kids in the back and a lpad of shopping and guests in the middle on Saturday.

I did detect a little druaght in the SL as I gunned it down the A640 over the pennines, but not a big enough one to complain.

I have a s600 the 220 model with twin turbo. Stopped at traffic lights this afternoon and met a boy racer with a MONDAO, oh and he had a full bore exhaust, lol. He obviously wanted to prove himself with his loud music and big bore exhaust. When the lights turned to green, I was at the next set of lights before he even passed the first set. Ive yet to see a day when you can do anything to a car and pass a BENZ. Against the Porche 911 GT with twin turbo, it cant beat the 600, the only thing I cant beat is the ferrari and maserati. But thats not a bad show.
