Hi peeps, new here, just recently brought a
Its more for peace of mind, it has an alarm, dont know if it has an immobilizer, how would you know?As above, the factory alarm and immobilizer are fine, leave them well alone is also my advice.
Add a steering wheel lock or other physical deterrent the car or to your driveway.
If you're desperate to spend money, Ghost is recognised as one of the top end anti theft (and tracking?) upgrades.
It is only 12 year old mercedes though.... (mine are already 8 years old already, including my SLK, so also not new)
Yes, it has an immobiliser - chip built into the keyIts more for peace of mind, it has an alarm, dont know if it has an immobilizer, how would you know?
thinking a tracker might be worth having, if only to lower insurance
Hi peeps, new here, just recently brought a
SLK 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY AMG Sport 2dr Tip Auto C
Yes, its an auto, but needed as I have a duff right leg due to an old accident, (ps motobike) this one is a 2012 really clean and tidy, full history, and clean mots for the last 8 years, what I really need to get to grips with, is all the bells and whistles I didnt realise it had, has a factory fitted alarm, which Im going to upgrade, well enought rattling, cheers all
You'll wonder how you ever drove a manual for all those yearsAll new too me, its years since I last drove an auto, this one will do manual with both the flappy paddles and by knocking the stick left or right, havnt tried either yet, brain still wanting to reach for clutch and gear stick
I wouldn’t think it would make any difference to insurance. It’s a lovely car but 12 year old diesels don’t get knicked and your typical boy racer wouldn’t get past the immobiliserthinking a tracker might be worth having, if only to lower insurance
