Nox Sensor / AdBlue Issues 2016 Mercedes/205.204

Hi all, I have a 2016 Mercedes/205.204 - C 220 BlueTEC Wagon/C 200 d Wagon which had a recall to update the diesel software back in 2020 by the previous owner and need some advice with regard to the following issues.

I’ll be replacing the Nox Sensor, however, I’ve been told that a mk3 nox sensor needs to be installed as this will stop the EML returning. Can anyone advise what mk number is the current Nox sensor I have ( image attached)

Once the Nox Sensor has been changed will or should this solve the AdBlue fault, as it’s saying engine will not start after 425miles.

Just get it remapped with an Adblue delete, the system will continually give problems that cost a fortune to fix.
I remapped mine after twice paying close to £1700 on repairs 2 years ago, not had a fault with the car since.

I think you have q1 which is now updated, to q3? i think, looks to be 2 faults , 1 nox and seperate adblue, the sensors need to be changed in pairs.

Afaik new nox sensors run a different software package which would need to be done , you can't just swap them out.

Okay thank you, so if I install a Q3 I need to install new software, Is that what you’re saying?

yes unfortunatly or they cant operate.

an independent with star can do the update , or fit q1s and no update needed.
