NOx Sensor

AA has confirmed that NOx sensor is faulty. My car is C220d Reg 2016. 39k km. Can NOx sensors be replaced as part of recall? No extended warranty.

If anyone who had similar problem & resolved it without spending too much to money. Appreciate if you share how it got resolved.

Have you had the engine management software updated recently?

Nox sensor failures are pretty common unfortunately on here and often related to software updates…. Please have a search of the forum.

Use a garage with mercedes diagnostic tool as normal tool wouldn't show actual fault as I found out.

And labour and materials have to be added on top sir.

and you need a dealer software update first - then the Merc parts guy will actually sell you the correct last spec sensors, instead of the ones they want the non franchised garages to fit. These play up soon after and makes the indepenant lot look incompetent (which is the aim)

botus is spot on, fitting old versions will not work only the latest sensors will do . Q5 is the current version.
