I have a NOx sensor failure on mu R231 2012 SL350 (bank 2 L/H side)

Putting to one side, the fact that, as an ignoramus, I didn't realise that a petrol SL had NOx sensors, can anyone tell me the part number for said sensor, or, where I could find it?

We all know that as a MB part it's expensive, but, I believe that I can get the £400 part, for about £200, based on other sensors prices, IF I can find the right part number.

Thanks in advance

It will generally be on the sensor itself.

Yep
Trouble is my local garage is good, very good and as a result, up to their necks in work, with no free ramp time

. . . . . Maybe a cash in hand lunch time job needs suggesting to the boss

That's what I mean - the part number will be on the sensor itself.

Given the way MB have been changing part numbers on NOx sensors I wouldn't be happy giving out a part number as there is every chance it's been superceded with one that needs a code update. Certainly that's true of diesel cars but I'm not sure about petrols ones. Safest option go with what's on the existing sensor.

Yup
That's what I've decided to do.
Bite the bullet and pay MB for the 1st one, next time, I have options

I do indeed, Obsidian Black with a Ginger Beige interior (it really does look a lot better than it sounds)
I didn't even know that the SL350 had NOx sensors
I've sorted the minor issues mainly cleaning the interior and getting floor mats from Australia.

Then out of nowhere, up comes the NOx sensor problems.
I can't get the car in the air here, so need my local garage.
They are super busy, because they're both good and honest.
To get my car, on their ramp, to find a part number is a 30 minute job, ramp time they don't have.
So I would have to talk to the boss and probably let go of £30 or £40 cash, for a lunch time lift . . . .if the boss gives it the OK.

I'm not taking the car to anyone else, especially the 2 local MB dealers, I want people I trust dipping their paws into my motor.

I'm going to be doing some serious miles over the next month and want the car in top condition and have the sensor, I just bit the bullet asked my garage to get one

There is a place in Kent does the sensors, but, won't give the part number until I part with the cash
Theres a place in Poland, but here, they won't confirm the part number I have is right
I THINK the part number is; A0009053703

I stopped mucking about and will have the flexibility in the future

That, sir, is a crackin' site.
Took me less than 10 minutes to identify that the number I have (A0009053703) seems to be the right one

Thank you
Just be aware it may have been superceded (again).

Hi!

I’m about to have some of these fitted.

Would anybody happen to know what the latest version number is?

I’ve read in some places (albeit for different NOx sensor models), that Q05 is the latest.

Many thanks!

Hey mate I’ve got the same issue where did you get the sensor from and what did it cost and what cost to get fitted I’ve been quoted approx £1000 from merc and a bit less from local independents
Thanks

Used my reliable, local, garage, who charged me about £500 including the sensor (sorry I can't be accurate, sadly, I've sold the SL
