Odometer

Can anyone tell me if my odometer is electronic or cable driven please. 1992 300SL 24V R129

probably electronic.

But try driving very slowly at < 10mph. I the pointer movement is very smooth then it may be electronic. Otherwise, if the pointer movement is a little jumpy/erratic, it may be mechanical.

Could also try phoning you dealer's parts dept with your car's chassis number (as if enquiring about a replacement) and they should be able to tell you.
