I need to change the engine mountings on my 1990 124 300TE 24v. The originals seem to be manufactured by Febi Bilstein but are out of stock. I have been offered a pair made by Corteco. Are they OEM? If not, has anyone any idea about the quality?
Thanks
David

Might be worth speaking to Mercedes UK for their advise ;)

Do you need to change both sides ?

left side seems to be A1242402117 (without air con) at £64 with 10% off.

right A1242402217 (with or without air con) £66 with 10% off

Have the VIN ready when you order from dealer.

I would NOT buy except from Merc dealer to ensure you get the correct part applicable for your car and that will last for another 17 years.

Thanks for the replies everybody.
Yes, I am changing both sides. It doesn't seem to make sense to just change one side, I don't want to jack-up the engine twice.
Both sides are the same part (2217).
I can get 15% from my dealer but that would still be more than twice the price I have been quoted.
As no one has rubbished this brand, I am going to go ahead and buy them.
I did some research on the web last night and they seem to be a large multi- national supplying OEM parts. I would have prefered the Febi because I am fairly sure that they would be as sold by MB dealers (could have got them from the States for less than £100 inc p+p).
I would always prefer to fit genuine parts, especially when safety comes into it. But if I can get exactly the same part without the middlemen's mark up, then it would be silly not to.
Thanks
David
