Off-side door mirror (dead!)

hi all,
new to this forum, just returned to MB after a longish gap. Previous last Merc was a pristine '85 280TE. Just bought myself an 2001 E class 280. First problem I would appreciate some advise on is, as the title suggests the off-side door mirror is totally defunct. No power tilt, no indicator, nowt!. I always do my own maintenance but am reluctant to dive in blind given the amount of air bags etc. Is there a previous guide to dismantling door (safely) hopefully with pics. I have tried searching but without success.
Also, bought the car and didn't get owners manual/wallet or tool kit. Where's the best place to get replacements?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am not sure if you have a triangle cover on the inside of the door where the mirror sits, if you do have it prises off from the tpo and will reveal the mirror plug where voltage test could be done

just a quick update re my question on this forum. Sorry to answer my own question but I found that these mirrors have three screws accessible from the outside afer folding flat. Remove these, uncouple multiplug then miror is free from door. hope this helps someone.
further to subjects raised on these pages, I read with horror the posts of a spark plug change on the w210 twinspark.....Found this job so simple and straightforward I honestly don't know what the all the fuss was about!
