Oh no, how do you remove snapped glowplugs?

I have 2 w124 e300ds a 1994 and a 1996, when I did the glowplugs on the '94 they weren't too bad, (one stayed in because it refused to budge)

I just got the '96 and cold starting is iffy and the glowplug light comes on after starting indicating two or more glowplugs are dead.

So I get the manifolds off and do a resistance check, 2 are good and 4 are dead. When I tried to undo one it was clear that they were going to be difficult, (engine was hot as advised by mb) so I soaked in wd40 every 5 mins for an hour, still very tight so I thought not to risk it and sint it to the local indie.

Picked it up this morning and he managed to snap the first one he tried off and (wisely) doesn't want to try the other five.

My question is this: Where do I go from here?

I am based near Leicester and would greatfully accept any advice and ideas, I have a feeling it is going to be head off and a four figure bill, or would it be cheaper to buy a second hand head?

Please help, Dylan.
