I have a 1997 W210 E280 with 51K on the clock.
I am thinking of replacing it for a later model or even possibly a facelift CLK (i.e. the one with the 4 headlamps - not the current version).
My car has no rust on it at all, but I've read lots of horror stories about the dreaded iron oxide on later E class cars.
My question is....are there "good" and "bad" years for rust on an E class i.e. are there any particular years of manufacture to avoid?
And what about the CLK - how does it fare regarding rust?
Thanks in anticipation.
