My 1980 450SL oil cooler has split & apparently will cost over £200 to replace. Do I need an oil cooler in this country? Could I by-pass it?

Thanks Malcolm.

I will have to start searching for a cheaper one then. The original is unfortunately U/S as both hose connectors sheared off during removal.

you could probably get one from Demon tweeks of similar dimensions and fit that. You might need to make a few mods to fit it tho.
