Oil & Filter change SLK200 ?

Hi all,
Lady Penelope has a 2004 SLK200 (last of the previous design).

I'm used to doing servicing on ordinary everyday cars i.e undo drain plug,drain,fit filter,refill.

According to the service book Mobil 1 oil has been used.

Is the SLK oil change as straight forward as most everyday cars?

What filter do i use and where do i get it?

Is Mobil 1 the best/right oil?

How much do i need?

Any other things to watch out for?

Welcome to the forum,, you can use any oil that conforms to MB229-3 or 5

Buy the filter from MB they are the best.

Is a specialist tool required to change the oil filter ?

You may be able to undo the cap on the filter by hand, or you can buy the tool for £5 from Halfords
