Oil grade codes

Hi, got my E220d serviced at a local garage but they couldn’t reset the service light. I have looked up how to do it but not sure what oil grade to pick. Any advice on what 229.51, 229.71 etc relate to?

Didn’t the garage already change the oil when they serviced it ?
Yours cars manual will show what MB spec oil to use

They changed the oil but never updated the onboard computer. Thanks, I’ll check the manual

Set it to the grade of oil they used…

I assume it was A N other garage and not a merc indy?

As above, ask what oil they used, check the MB spec and go from there.

229.51 usually a 5W30 .

229.71 always a 0W20 .
