Guess my middle name is Lucky!
Haven't been using my 1989 300 ce auto saloon in the heat preferring my air-conditioned other car but tired her last week and had problems starting .
The Garage put new plugs in yesterday and it went seemingly OK,
This morning it was very lumpy and then stalled lots of petrol smelling white smoke
The garage came again and said they didn't know what it was.
The RAC came , checked the oil then looked in the expansion tank and it was thick with light brown oil. That was it towed to another garage.
he said probably cylinder head gasket.
I had noted a small rad leak but the needle has never gone above half way and I kept her topped up
Took the leak to the garage and they put some radweld stuff in WHY apparently no need wasting money on big bills guaranteed not to mes up my car.
I wanted a recore.

She is in fantastic condition for age, only one rust bubble , two owners from new and also runs on LPG too but how much could this all cost?
I do live in Wales so labour is cheaper.

Any thoughts suggestions would be most appreciated
Peter.
